Awareness & Outreach
Empowering families and communities with knowledge to identify and support severe mental illness.
Awareness Generation & Information Dissemination
Stigma and misinformation remain among the most significant barriers to psychiatric care. Through donor support, Mind Wellness Trust funds targeted awareness initiatives designed to reach patients, families, and communities — online and in person.
Resource Hub
An evidence-based digital resource centre (www.parthhospital.com) provides clear, accessible information on psychiatric conditions, treatment options, and the care pathway.
It presents advanced therapies — including ECT and Deep TMS — in language that is clinically accurate yet accessible to patients and families without a medical background, directly countering the fear and misinformation that often delay treatment.
Why Awareness Matters
In India, many people still believe that mental illness is caused by black magic, a weak character, or divine punishment — and that it cannot be treated. Because of this, families often wait years before seeking help.
By the time they seek care, the illness has often caused serious damage to life, relationships, and physical health. Awareness programs work to bridge this gap, one community at a time.
“We explain, in simple terms, that conditions like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and severe depression are medical illnesses of the brain, just like diabetes or blood pressure.”
There is no shame in seeking help. There is no weakness in having a mental illness. Effective treatment is available, and recovery is possible.
Looking Ahead
We are committed to keeping our digital resource hub current with advances in psychiatric research.
Every contribution to our awareness programmes is an investment in a future where psychiatric illness is understood and treatment is within reach for all.
